A nursing continuing professional development activity.
A learner-paced activity for nurses whose interest or practice includes older adult or geriatric populations. Dr. Elhaum Khobahy, Pharm. D. will discuss cannabis: medical use, mechanism(s) of action, pharmacokinetic profiles and pharmacodynamic effects, indications for use and safety, commercially available products and synthetic analogues, and clinical trials and research to suggest potential therapeutic roles of cannabis for the geriatric population. This activity will provide ANCC NCPD contact hours and pharmacotherapeutic credit for the APRN.
